We are Danny and Linda McGregor, we are Kennel Club
Accredited Breeders and live in Watford, Hertfordshire,
quite close to London, just 10 minutes from junction 5 of
the M1 and Junction 17 of the M25.
We have owned Bull Terriers since 1980, and shortly after
that got interested in the Show Scene and all aspects of the
Breed. We did our home work, read up and learnt a lot
before acquiring our first bitch “Sophie” who we showed and
made up to the Champion. Sophie was a great foundation
bitch, she was sweet natured, well made, healthy, and gave
us much joy over 12 wonderful years, she lived happily with
her daughter, Crystal, who produced two Champions in her
first litter.
We have had 7 UK Champions and One Australian Champion, the
latest Champion who we bred is Ch. Merlindan Rossetti and
was Runner Up Ormandy Jug Dog Winner in 2003. This has all
come about through selective breeding, our aims have always
been to breed healthy, good tempered Bull Terriers who can
live happily in a family environment, and although we strive
to breed high quality show animals, they have to make good
family pets in the first instance.
We also believe in quality not quantity and usually have
just one litter a year, very occasionally two. We are
fortunate to have always had good mothers, but even so we
stay with them night and day for the first few weeks when
they have babies. The puppies are naturally socialised in
our home, through the hurly burly of family life and with
friends and family coming to visit. As we limit the numbers
we breed, we have only very rarely homed our puppies
overseas and when we have, these have been to close friends.
Health and Security are very high on our Agenda, all our
puppies are BAER hearing tested, this is the only sure way
to prove your Bull Terrier can hear correctly, we always
give copies of the authenticated certificates to the new
owners. Our puppies are also either Tattooed or
Micro-chipped in case they get lost or stolen. Detailed
information on Hearing and other Important “Health” Issues,
together with all aspects on the breed can be found on The
Bull Terrier Club website which can be easily accessed via
our “Links” heading. We have close associations with Bull
Terrier Welfare and this can also be visited using “Links”.
Over the years our avid interest has lead us to become
Championship Judges, we have enjoyed judging many of the
Bull Terrier Breed Club Shows both at home and aboard and
have made many life long friends. We owe the breed a lot and
hope this website gives some insight on the Bull Terrier,
this not to say they cannot be stubborn, like most dogs they
are happiest when they know their place in the family, this
should be in a subordinate position with the family at the
top of the ladder! – it is all common sense really. We are
happy to give advice if called upon and please do not
hesitate to contact us if we can be of help.
